A stake of Rs 1,000 at odds of 2.50 returns Rs 2,500 (including your stake back) if the bet wins, meaning your profit is Rs 1,500. Live in-play betting at Ladbrokes allows you to place bets on a match after it has already started. Odds update continuously as the match progresses. For cricket, this means you can bet on the next wicket, runs in the current over, the eventual total and dozens of other markets while the match is happening. In-play markets are only available for the duration of the live event and odds can move quickly, so decisions need to be made promptly.

If a match is cancelled before it starts, all pre-match bets on that fixture are voided and stakes are returned to your Ladbrokes wallet. If a match is abandoned mid-way through, the handling depends on the sport and how much play has taken place. For cricket, Duckworth–Lewis results may stand if enough overs have been bowled.
